Patients in the study who were older than 50 years reported an improvement in sexual quality of life compared with baseline. Patients in early stages reached normal sexual quality of life levels, whereas those in advanced stages remained below the control level. There was a direct correlation between previous and post-treatment sexual quality of life. The study concluded that sexual quality of life was more closely related to sexual quality of life at baseline than related to the intensity of treatment.
